What's up with my clutch
I had the motor and trans apart two winters ago (3500 miles).
Put in a new clutch plate etc, had the flywheel surfaced. Worked great until a which ago on way to work in traffic Here is the issue: When I am at a stop and I start to let the clutch out in seems like it is grabbing a little like normal and then it drops it and then when release more it seems and acts normal. The new clutch has also seemed to have a little chatter compared to the old I will confess to not buying a Porsche unit and bought an aftermarket as it was the last of the while I was in theres and I was out of cash by then and had to make some choices. So questions are: What causes the chatter? Why does it do the partial engagement thing? 79 Row stock tranny

Check your clutch cable. You may need to adjust it at the transmission. A search will get you tons of info on this pretty easy task.
The other thing that may cause some chatter would be an oil leak at the rear main seal.

I'll look at the clutch cable this weekend. Thanks
I doubt that it's the seal, I repulsed it when I did the clutch
