Looking to rent, borrow or steal - Sparco EVO2 Cushions

OK - not steal.

Seriously. Got a set of Evo2 seats for a decent price that were missing center cushions. No big deal - as the cushions are readily available from SPARCO - OR SO I THOUGHT!

Ordered and prepaid in October for the inserts and still do not have them. No they can not give me an eta - no the warehouse in italy does not have them

I would like to get installed at least one of my seats for the 48 hours of Sebring -
Have my new Helmet, have lights and brakelights working, have my HANS delivered. Harnesses here - just waiting on cushions.
So anybody got a cushion I can borrow or rent?

February 3-6 - they will be back on the way to you on February 7th.

A few bucks spent at a local upholstery shop may be a good solution.

Go to your local Joanne fabrics or similar store. Ask for the foam padding section. Try out various cell structure until you find theone that suits you. Buy some black suede or even just cloth. Cut it to fit the bottom of the seat, fasten the covering with glue or a mechanical fastener. Voila!! You have seat cushions.

It will get you by for now so you can race. Nobody but you will know.

Seriously Bob - that would be fantastic - I'd be happy to buy you a case of your favorite beer or some sort of compensation.

Apparently the Evo cushions are all interchangeable.

Maybe you need a whole 'new' cover:

SPARCO EVO seat cover only, blue.... looks almost new

If you only need the foam, it can be made easily at an upholstery shop or just buy a chunk of foam get out the electric carving knife and shape your own. (Mine does not come with the foam)

PS. Stuff from Italy takes a long time to arrive. I waited 10 months for a Super Sprint Muffler for the M3

worth the wait but ....

Hey Jeremy-
You're welcome to borrow mine from my Evo, red if that makes any difference. Seat is sitting in my den while I desparately try getting it back together for the upcoming track season.

When I ordered a new cover assembly for an EvoXL I was going to buy for the passenger side, I needed a red cover to match the one on my side. Was told 4-6 weeks and it took close to 3 months to get here from overseas. Apparently they only put special orders into a container if there's room, and containers only come over periodically.

Thanks Ed - I appreciate it - I have an "appointment" to call Sparco later today. I ordered (and paid) for these October 10th... So hopefully will get a better status by this afternoon.

Well my call with Sparco was vague at best. So I decided to take the bull by the horns and come up with a more quasi short term solution.

$20 worth of foam and material and I made my own cushion.

It's not perfect - but more than adequate for a few weeks or months.

Really appreciate all those that offered their cushions. Thank you
