Replica 917 wheels

Nice...

Reproduction of the legendary 3.0RSR wheel. These wheels will be available in either centre-lock or in 5 x130 pcd to bolt straight onto existing hubs. Available in a range of widths and offsets to suit most applications.

What do you think?

I am told that they are available in a range of widths and offsets to suit most applications, so as long as you ask for the 964 offset then I do not see why they should not fit...

They are 15", just as the original 917 wheels...

I am considering a set for my sc for track use

Thinking about the 964 question - they might not fit due to the calipers on the 964. Can you fit 15" wheels on a 964???

I love the 917 style wheel. I think they will look fabulous on almost any "hotrod"911.

Where were they manufactured and by whom?

What are they made of?

Are they cast or forged?

How much do they weigh?

I don't think so. I don't think 15s would look right on a 964 anyway. Still...cool wheels!

Some good questions! Truth is I do not know all the details yet, but I will have more details soon, and will post what I know when I get it.

Bottom line is if you contact me I will get you in contact with the company that has had these made and supply them, who is based in Europe. Out of respect to our host, I will not post here who the supplier is - and it is not me, although I do get a commission if you purchase a set and the referral was via me...

I would also be happy to help set up a group purchase for several US people to help reduce shipping costs etc if appropriate, or work with Pelican to have them supply to the US Pelican community...

Zuffenhaus makes a lot of cool nice stuff, so they are probably also making replicas of the 917 wheels - I have no idea???

I am just posting as the person in Europe that has these is a friend, and I wan to help (also helps that I get a little to feed the kids if he makes a sale that I refereed to him ), but more than that I currently do not know all the details - apart from that I am saving for a set for my car...

How much?
Looks cool, but for a very similar look and I'm sure a lot less money (if you can find the right size for your application) there is already the Ronal R9.
