Post Correct tach for 1975 911S

I have a 1975 911S originally from the UK (now in New Zealand). I was wondering if anyone with the same (or near enough) could please describe your tach (!).

I am pretty sure my one is the wrong one - the redline is a wide orangey band from 6250 to 6500 (part number up under the bezel above 4000rpm is 911.641.301.29), and I think it needs to be a narrow red band, like on the earlier cars but different redline (no idea of the part number).

Do you have any pictures?

Thanks in advance

Cam

Right, thats it. Where is my cheque book. Hello, Mr Engine Builder. I want an engine like Randy's please, so that Matt won't hassle many anymore.

Freakin' 'T' drivers and their long hoods superiority. If my car worked, I'd show you what torque was.

Cam,

The tach in the '75 brochure has a wide red band from 6300 thru 6600 rpm. I can scan it and post a pic ... if you like. Let me know.

Just for the record, Cam and I are buddies! My normal conversation with him goes something like this:
Me- What are you up to this weekend, assembling that beautiful black Porsche of yours? (his is undergoing restoration)

Him- Errr, well, ummmm...I saw this cool car in the paper for sale, wanna come and look at it with me?

Me- Sure!

This has been going on for a year now. I call upon the citizens of Pelican to lend Cam some encouragement to finish Black Beauty (Slight Return) as soon as is humanly possible

By the way; long hood or short hood becomes irrelevant when you're gulping 96 RON at >5000rpm with a smile on your face that wouldn't look out of place on a Cheshire cat.

Matt is actually a gentleman, for what it is worth . And I really must get around to finishing that car...

And Warren, I would be very grateful if you could scan and post or email that picture for me. My email is cameron.b@eudoramail.com. I have spent about half an hour searching for an online pic and come up with nada. (well nothing that is clear enough).

Thanks guys

Cam
