Turbo charging
Buy an engine and replace or mod the current one. Basically it appears to be a matter of money and time as all 911 projects. What is the right way? Current motor has 130000 82 SC 3.0.

right way? Honest answer? Sell it and go buy a factory turbo= far less expense and trouble in the long run
want to have fun chasing all the bits and making this a project? use the search function here for turbo conversion 130k + miles and you start pressurizing the motor? = recipe for a nice ka boom

Yep, I've done that!

Having done it both ways I would say this, pay now or pay later but you will pay in the end.
Meaning turbocharging is NOT adding a turbo, it is re-engineering the engine, drivetrain, chassis etc... to handle the turbo. Slap on an e-bay 'bolt-on' kit and you will have 10% of the work done and 90% left that can render the whole 10% you do have done worthless. Lots of fun in the end, just lots of work and $$$. Of course having been shoved in the back side by 1100HP I can tell you it can be VERY fun. ![]()
