1973 Carrera RS Shift Knob
I have a damaged shift knob from a 1973 Carrera RS that was deemed "to far gone" when the car was being restored in the early 90's.....I would like to repair and install on my SC. Any thoughts on who does this sort of work? Cost prohibitive? Apologies for the bad pics.....

Use a belt sander to remove the broken part and flatten the bottom. Install using standard crush washer.
I've done this a few times and it works great ... as long as there are no propogating cracks that go further up. |

There is a guy on the boards whose son does a nice job restoring the clear part, if it's cracked. I don't know if he can restore the missing chunk.
The thread is called something like "Erik's shift knob restoration service."
