Paint Code help request

Hello,
I've got a quick paint code check for my '77 targa.
The front inner door area has a plate that says "266-9-3"
Can anyone decipher this for me?
Thank you so much my friends.
Take Care and your help is much appreciated
-Pete

That is 1976 Silver Green Diamond, per the service manual!

For comparison, the Red Book shows it as "Ice Green Metallic",

Question

While we're on the subject, what about the 1968 or 1969 color 6851-L? I can't find it listed in the shop manual or spec book. I think it might be a semi-custom color.

Thanks!

John, 6815 is 'Silver Metallic' - the 'L' denotes the paint manufacturer, Lechler in this case.

Hi Andy;
You answered for 6815 which is listed in my shop manual. The plate on my car says 6851 (36 codes higher then 6815). I'm pretty sure that it was some form of red.

Thanks
- John

John, that was a typo on my part - 6851 is Silver Metallic.
6815 was not listed!

That's cool, except my car was resprayed black a couple years ago... Those greens are so much more '70's. I'll have to look into that in a few years I guess you have a good paint job if you have no visible idea of a previous color. Gotta love bare metal resprays. I got lucky with mine.

Thanks guys. Pete
