Ball Joint Boots?

Hi All

I've found that the rubber boots on my ball-joints have perished (5 years old ), but I can't seem to locate replacements... Does this mean I need to replace my 2000 mile ball-joints just for boots

Thanks for any tips

Never heard of replacement boots, John. I think you will be stuck buying new ball joints.

John - I swear I've seen a post on here in the last couple of year where somebody found a source. No idea how long you'd have to sift thru search engine results, but might be worth a shot.

OTOH, if your ball joints are old then...

928intl.com sells the boots for $19. It's item 431 407 377 A. Or you can buy them at your local Audi dealer for quite a bit more.

+1 - This exact subject was discussed at length and several folks provided sources. I'll see if I can find the link.

Here's one: Found replacement boot for A-arm ball joint!

'Nuther: replacement tie rod boots

And this: ball joint boot question

That should get you going...
