Strange guage phenomenon '84 Carrera
My guage needles recently started the jitterbug. They used to hold steady accept for the oil tank level guage which always slightly moved up and down. Now the temp, pressure, oil level and tank needles are a little shaky. But only when driving, does not do it at idle. What could be causing this? Some electrical issue affecting all the guage needles at the same time?

Check your grounds. The brown wires that go to each gauge and terminate on the body.

hook up a voltmeter to the battery and raise the rpm. should be 13.8V to 14.2V. carreras are famous for overcharging up to 17V. check the water in the battery if that's the case, as it gets boiled out.
