Source for spark plug socket?

Does anyone know of a source for the factory spark plug socket that comes with the factory tool kit for an '80 SC? I purchased a tool kit recently off ebay and all the tools are there and in incredible condition, with the exception of the spark plug wrench. Thanks for your help.

For that matter, does anyone have a source for a spark plug wrench that does the same job (with the universal joint and T handle). I am jealous of Matt Smith's Hazet one, and have never even seen the factory one.

It is rather difficult to desribe how well the early 'Klein 21' tool works ... Hazet makes a similar-sized socket with the special knurled grip area, but they are intended for attachment to 3/8"-drive wrench, rather than the 10 mm Allen wrench that came in Klein-equipped tool kits.

Is this a decent replica? I have no idea of the quality (or price, for that matter).

the tool on the left is a klein tool that i cut off and welded on a short 3/8 extension. been using it for years. the 5 3/4" length is just a hair longer than the original to it's right. the rest are various snapon swivel units for regular and peanut plugs (C2/C4, etc).

Call me cheap, but I just use a standard spark plug socket with a rubber insert and a 4" extension. Worked fine on both my '72 E and my '86 Carrera.

I don't know how often I'll use this spark plug wrench, but I just wanted one to complete the tool kit that is in otherwise excellent condition. Does anyone have one they would be willing to sell me? Maybe I'll just have to keep scouring around ebay for awhile.

Just for grins, give your local Dealer a call. I remember reading about someone looking for a 964 fan wrench, and finding the best price at the dealer.

Who knows, you may get lucky.

Hello

Porsche sales some tools seperatly. Those are the alternator spanners, the two hooks and the spark plug tool. Most other tools are easy to get on any tool suppley.
