For 86 Carrera - Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position vs. RE760 Sport
Greetings. The S03s I have now need to be replaced. Loved those tires. Tire Rack tells me the 050s replaced the S03s. Price for four is $628. Classified as Max Performance.
Then I noticed the RE760 in the list with the same performance rating (easier grading?), "Most Popular" label and a $202 lower price. Classified as Ultra High Performance. If anyone else had to make this choice, what did you do? Would also appreciate feedback from owners of both tires. Or any other suggestions, it's a stock car, 16" wheels, I do mixed driving. Thanks. Pete

I have RE050's on my 2010 MazdaSpeed3 and I am not pleased with their performance at all. I have over 19k miles on them and I will replace them next summer with Kumhos. I have RE950's on my 911 and I love them, but they're no longer available.

I had ran RE's for the last twelve years and loved them. Ended with 750's. Just switched to Hancook Ventus V-12's and I regret the change. I am trying to wear these out as quickly as possible. The handling of the Bridgestone's is unique and fantastic; can't wait to go back.
FWIW, I have read that the run flat 50's are not the best tire...the standard's are supposed to be better.
