Ok, I know where these is likely to lead but my real objective is to have you post pictures of bra solutions for your 911. Please no "man bras". All others accepted and appreciated. Have fun and thanks.

I use the mirror bras and hood section. I only use the hood section because the other section is difficult to put on and remove. The other section covers the bumper, valence and the area below (around?) the headlights.

As with any bra, do not leave on when wet and clean underneath often.

Recently, over on Rennlist, w00t posted a similar titled thread, something about Victoria's secret. I said I wouldn't do it, but just washed my car yesterday and had to stare at all those stone chips on the hood. Hmmm.

O.K. on the serious side, check this new product. Couple with the mirror bras it would do the trick.

Ask and you shall receive:

This was the post "This car will be with me for the rest of my life and is my daily driver in a town that uses loose gravel to a) resurface a distressed asphalt road in the summers and b) as a substitute for salt in the winters. We all know that our hoods are a magnet for rock chips. Benjamin at Metropolitan detail in Lynwood, WA is a very skilled plastic (film) surgeon. The final shot (after the full installation) of the car is a good representation of the finished product. You can hardly notice the Ventureshield film. You can call me crazy ...but do so in a polite fashion. Yeh, for the cost I could have the car repainted once, twice or even thrice.....but the car is original only once and I am all about it's preservation"

If installed well, none of that will happen. The clear paint protection film (PPF) if maintained well (with good wash/wax technique using the right products) can be kept in pristine condition for a long time. These films even have a clear coat and it can be buffed just like paint should you ever need it.

But if you have a mediocre job done by someone poorly trained YOU WILL see a lot of the flaws including orange peel, stretch marks, unsightly seam marks and deep razor cuts on the paint. It is so crucial for anyone seeking clear bra installation for their new or used vehicle to not rely solely on pricing.

I had a custom install job (not a pre-cut install) to cover the full hood, lights and front fenders on my '86 coupe. As you can see, they remove parts and tuck the film for a seamless install. After every wash, I recommend the Einszett Spray Wax. It won't yellow the surface and you don't have to worry about it leaving any type of "crust" or film at the edges of the clearbra. Avoid Lexol (will cause yellowing of the film)

Balletta, my other car has had a clear-bra for four years. You would have to come to within a feet to even barely notice that it is even on. No drop in clarity...but I do garage my car, wash it every week and have special sealant/cleaning products for my PPF. So do not be surprised if others tell you that their clear-bra shows age.

Look up Clear Bra, you will find hours of research, pictures, accolades. I've had one on a previous car and loved it. it is a rather expensive proposition, ranging from $600-(as in the post above IIRC) $1700

Pre-cut kit is 500 to 700 range. Custom install as in my case for full front (ie fenders, bumper, hood, front of side view mirrors) and rear wheel fenders it is what sobamflyer has posted...in the $ 1500 to 1800 range. If you care about your car's paint, have the cash, will keep it for a longtime and is a daily driver....THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE to the clear-bra.

They all look like stripes...but really these are all magnetic bra's.

You can check them out at:http://www.magnagrafik.com/

Clear bra on my 993. Stay away from the fabric ones. They can rub your paint off pretty good flapping in the wind, catching dust etc.
