New SC
Hi everyone,
new guy with a new to me 1980 SC targa, black. In the process of cleaning it up, absolutely love it. I'll post some pictures later. Also a question. It has a strange lock (like the elevator switches firemen use) on the left, just below the targa bar, behind the driver's door handle. Haven't seen it in other pictures. I don't have a key for it anyway, but I'm curious. Anyway, glad to be joining the fun.

Welcome.. we've all been the new guy once. Please post some pictures of your car when you're able.
As to the lock... sounds like an aftermarket alarm system of some type. Regards, mlfox |

Welcome to the best model they ever built.
Ah the SC Targa - where to begin? Nice backside protection from rear 'glass and roll bar? Feeling that you are in a true convertible? Bulletproof 3.0?
I guess your biggest problem will be swirl marks. Life is a *****.

Porsche put a key lock for the factory alarm on the back edge of the driver's door, only visible when the door was open. Sort of behind the exterior door handle. |
