What Webers will work on 2.7 ?
I'm thinking of getting rid of the CIS and wonder what Webers would replace the cis. Stock 2.7 with cis. I know I should replace the cam as well but for now I'm just dreaming about webers.

IMO, only doing Webers may not be worth it. I have a 2.7 and am serious about setting it up properly. You did not mention SSI or street/track exhaust. I don't want an SC cam so new pistons are waiting for E-cams and PMOs. I think you have a serious decision to make.

40IDAs, IDTs ,IDSs and PMOs, all properly set up for your application, of course. The intake manifolds need to have the proper shape at the head. These are available from PMO.
I saw a set of IDAs on evil bay, Thursday, that have what appears to be the proper manifolds......looked nice. No affiliation, yada, yada.... They're still there.......1 day and change left on the auction. The top bid is now around $650....that will change.

I have IDS 40's on my 2.7 and here is the jetting I am running, it should provide a good starting point for you should you convert
Main 130 Idle 55-60 Emulsion F3 Side note, IDS and IDA are very similar, IDS's came on 1968 911S and have an extra/different set up for injecting fuel under acceleration (can't be bothered to get the Haynes manual from the garage to get the right name) but performance wise and jetting wise it turns out they ar the same. I have CIS pistons, T cams and T distributor, not a all out race motor by any stretch of the imagination, but it runs well....I have the exhaust off my old 2.2 motor on it.

"IDS's came on 1968 911S and have an extra/different set up for injecting fuel under acceleration"
Just to be a little more accurate, the IDS enrichment circuit provides a richer mixture at high rpm (not acceleration). This was a way to insure the engine wouldn't run lean at near or WOT. Sherwood Lee http://members.rennlist.org/911pcars |
