Porsche Wiring Questions. There are so many wires!!!!!
Looking to swap a 1991 3.6 with an automatic into another project. I have two questions regarding wiring.
1. I have the complete 1991 911 donor car. Should I strip out the whole wiring harness which is a huge job or is there a quicker way assuming i will not use the lights, seats etc etc. Is there an after market wiring harness available as there would be for a Chevy. 2. Would you Porshceaphils out there recommend a wiring guru in case of issues. Thank You for the help. Al |

Do you have the wiring diagram book? I would not attempt anything you are about to do without it.
Also, carefully remove the donor wiring harness including every clip, grommet, and connector. The 1991-1994 series of 964/965 is becoming more rare with each passing year. You will be very happy in a few years if you remove, clean, inventory, and tag every part. Mark

Adapt the motor to the car and not the car to the motor.
