Electrical - Relay question ???
On a '72 911T does the "blinker relay" also control the brake lights and the backup lights? Or does it only work with the blinkers? Flashers?
I looked at the wiring diagram for this car (both online with our host and in the shop manual) and I can't find the relay in there anywhere. Sorry, I'm a decent weekend mechanic but electrical work confuses me. Thanks much! |

It does not control the brake or back up lights. Back up lights are controlled by switch on transmission and brake lights from switch on master cylinder.

The blinker relay control all that lights that blink when activated. this includes the turn signals, hand brake/bake failure lamp and emergency flasher.
To help follow the early wiring diagrams, I find is useful to enlarge them and use a highlighter to trace the wires I am trying to verify.
