911 sc cruise control(engine compartment)

Hello,
I just pulled out the cruise control motor in the engine compartment and the vaccum-like hoes that is connected to it. This hose, on my car, goes through a little hole in the metal box like thing that goes across the front of the engine compartment. i was just wondering what this hose connects to and how should I go about blocking the hole?
Thanks
Scott

It is a vent line for the cruise module and doesn't connect to anything.
