Convert Carrera Muffler to Dual Out
I just had my 1985 Carrera stock muffler modified with a second exhaust tip added to the right side, with no internal modifications. The whole job including cutting the rear valance was about $200. This modified stock muffler sounds as good as any aftermarket muffler I have heard and costs a lot less. A nice mellow throaty exhaust note that is easy to live with. A big improvement over the stock muffler note which was much too tame for the Porsche image. I seem to get a bit more power coming in at around 4000 rpm. It is noticeable in 1st gear when accelerating from a standing stop. This is the first step, my next mod will be to remove cat and install Euro pre-muffler. That will gain an easy 12 hp for about $400. I will keep you all informed.

Hi did the same conversion 75 dollars with stainless tips at the local Muffler shop, i like it also, Kevin its time fro some new pictures ive posted this one at least 5 times
