Question When did Porsche start using R134?

Can anyone tell me what year Porsche started putting R134 in their 911's from the factory?

Thanks!

Hello

I do not have exact numbers but All 1989 on Porsche are fittet with R134a approved material and the swapover was in late 1992 maybe MY 1993 only. IF some check out there fill valves we maybe can find the date. The 1993 ( Starting with sept 1992 ) are all equiped with R 134a.

Also all 928 and 944 from 1985 on are pre prepared to R 134a. However they don´t have the correct dryer filling and a erlyier type barrier hose that seem to leak more then later types.

Only the previous 924/928 compressors have sometimes Vitton seals and the pressure lines are not barrier type.
C1 Denso seem all to work with R 134a. C1 York need to be opend to flush the oil.

Grüsse
