Smoke from electrical in an SC
I have an 81 SC. Had to pull over this morning when the car started smoking from electrical fire. The smoke stopped when I turned off the ignition. The smoke fills the cab and also escapes from high on the right side of the engine compartment.
I cannot see where the smoke came from. Any ideas before I pull everything apart? I replaced the blower motor a year ago. But it looks fine and all of the smoke came from the other side of the engine compartment. Thanks for any help you can lend. Electrical stuff throws me unless I see the burned wires. -- Chuck |

Do you have heater fans in the floor? If so, they're not fused.
All other smoke should be mainly from under the IP. Rule 1 of electricity. Don't let the smoke out. Btw, sorry it happened. Hope there's little damage.Sherwood |
