Fixing my SC heater
 

My SC has the simple heater setup, just cables to the valves on the heat exchangers. Got the car up and find that the cables and valve work fine. Still no heat in the cabin. Anyone have a suggestion to fix it. It's going to get chilly here in the Sierra Nevada, pretty soon.

make sure the levers on the right of the parking brake are pulled up all the way and the lower red lever and the middle lever on the heater controls are to the right and the top lever (fresh air fan) is full left, off. That will give you full heat to the defrosters.

Are all the hoses in place on the heat exchangers and in the engine compartment?

All the hoses under the car are in place, and in the engine compartment as well. I'm going to look at the control panel parts behind the dash in the morning. Thanks for your suggestions.

Here in the Italian Alps the winters are hard too and I'm doing the same work in my 1980 SC.
For me it's the second winter I spent using 911 as d.d.
The check list for the heating system is the following:

- With ignition on, each one of the two red knobs near the parking brake shell switch the blower in the engine compartement. It happens? (Y/N)
- Each knob closes the heater flapper under the rear fender. Each flapper opens and closes pulling the correspondent (right and left) knob? (Y/N)
- Do the front blower works moving the upper right lever in the center consolle? (Y/N)
- Are there leackages in the hoses coming from the rear to the front blower? (Y/N)

If any of the two blowers makes noise, remove and lubrify it before cooking his electric engine

N.B. Note that our cars didn't have the automatic heating system and only one blower in the front and one in the rear
