Loose Head Bolts????
Looking for some input on why my head bolts wont stay tight. 79 sc, fresh rebuild upper and lower, ge60 cams, je piston with 9.5 cr, weber 40s. Studs are new dilivar by previous owner. This is the 2nd time they have come loose. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Bill

Bill,
Just to be clear, are you referring to loose head nuts or the studs??? Are you sure they used Dilavars in the rebuild?

The solander should have been replaced with steel. Hopefully the threads in the case haven't been stripped. Are you setting them to the roper torque

Mine loosened three times I think before finally staying tight. Check them frequently over the next year, they may fix themselves.

ARP's and Raceware's do loosen over time as they do not expand at the same rate as the rest of the engine.
