Thermostat - diff between pre-72 & 72 on?
 

Don't know if I need a new internal thermostat yet or not, but want to know if the later one (72- on) fits in the early engines (mine is 914-6). Couldn't find anything in search, but looks the same on pelican photos except later one is 2/3 the price.

Specifically, early is 901-107-751-00, and seems to say "83" for 83C (181F) temp.

What is the opening temp of 930-107-765-00 and does it fit? Same o-ring and ports look the same to me.
