Man, what a cool look those have! I'm looking forward to installing a set in my RSR project. What did you do for seat rails?

If you click the link in the article it goes to DDK where I did a full write-up.

The seats were ordered with the mounting kit, and this includes plates to bolt to the existing sill / tunnel seat mounts, and runners that then bolt to those plates.

Yes, I saw that after I posted this. They look very nice quality too. What were they, about $800 each?

Ian - excellent look. Very vintage and purposeful. How do they feel? Do they provide good support? Any idea how much they'd be in U.S. currency?

I am no expert, but they are 1000% better than the old standard seats. Excellent lateral support, and room for a 5 or 6 point harness, which I will be fitting.

They are BF Torino, and I got them from Mark Waring at www.wwclassics.com

Please note that GTS Classics used to do them, but they are now I believe doing the Deser fibreglass range.

BF Torino are metal framed (for safety ?).

They are vinyl and corduroy and were $575 each plus $140 for the runners per seat. Total shipped to me in the UK from Italy was $1750.

Dave at TRE looks to make some very nice seats over there in the US though, as shipping may be a deal breaker from Europe.

I didn't look at US sites as I knew shipping would break the deal. I thought Stefan was now doing Deser seats, but the site still shows the BF Torino range so perhaps you can get them from him - good find.

seats

Hi Ian,Hi All,
Well we used to work with BF ( the Rallye and the 914 are our designs as the lap belt holes were our development on all BF Torino seats )and than had to switch to Deser( we developed the ST and helped on the ESSES ), but as demand and supply seems a problem we started making them directly in the US , since the end of 2006.Both manufacturer kept/sell our designs as their own so we developed all seats further with safety options and variations and now can offer the largest selection of classic seats world wide.

Thank you all for your support and trust in our service and seats, we hope to earn that trust with every seat we make for you.
