I was there myself on Oct 10th. Really worth going out of your way to see. Amazing to see all of the rare cars you normally only get to see in magazines. I have to admit one small suprise though, that i didn't expect. I've never lusted after a Boxster in my life, although i hear they drive fantastic. Probably stems from preferring coupes over convertables too... BUT, there was the new Boxster Spider there and i am certain it is one of the most beautiful convertibles Porsche has ever made, and one of the best handling. The museum is a must-see.

To see the cars I've only seen in books, magazine, or movies, was quite surreal.

Pretty amazing how small the cars are and to think of the stints drivers are required to pull for LeMans! Not to mention what a handful the early Formula 1 cars had to be!!!

I look forward to a trip when I have more time to plan, so I can get a factory tour.

Scott,
Beautiful cars, great photography! Thanks for sharing with us here.

observation: a lot of silver paint in that room. German racing color always looks great on a Porsche.

I was at the museum in the late 70's.... basically a garage with a bunch of cool cars in it, nothing like the architectural masterpiece of today. It did have it's charm though, I sat in a Gulf 917 longtail pretending I was Elford ....fooled around with the stick and everything. Cheers

The 1973 RS, White with Green piping -- I sat in at the old red brick Porsche factory right after they installed the new interior and fresh outer paint job.
What a great day that was back in 2005.
Vr,
Scott
