1968 Idiot Light Gauge to Pressure Gauge Conversion

I need help this morning. I'm in the process of changing my 1968 standard oil temp/idiot light instrument to the 1968 911S version, that shows numeric temp and the actual oil pressure.

Got the gauge out, moved the logical wires/lights over to the new one. For the "standard" pressure gauge, it's just an idiot light, that has two leads into the bulb holder (probably the + and -) and then there is an extra tab on the gauge that is ground (I guess) like the temp gauge.

Since my car was not originally equipped with this gauge, I think I need to expose the connector on one of TWO wires I see that are unused behind my dash. One is solid colored (brown or red maybe? I am unfortunately color blind) and the other is striped. Both of these are unused, factory wires, with the metal of the connector sealed off in black rubber from the factory.

I THINK that the striped wire would go to the oil tank level gauge if so equipped, and this other wire just needs to have the connector rubber stripped off of it and plugged in to the last empty spot on the oil pressure gauge I am installing.

Am I on the right track here? Anybody else done this?

Thanks for the help. Being color blind and working in dim light stinks. I already have the correct sender to install that will make the pressure gauge work, finally ready to put it all together and have this little project behind me!

Thanks, group!
