Porsche 25th anniversary edition 911

hi i got a 1975 targa 911s and iam going to repaint it its black now but was a silver car Is there a way to tell if it was a silver anniversary car it dose not have the plack on the dash but that could have been taken and the interior is new all black some one changed it but it dose have all options air power antenna 3 spoke wheel head light washers i don't know how i would find out i can get a plack and paint it silver aging oh and the paint code is painted over i will have to take it off to see the code i know it dose not make it a great car anyway but like i said if iam painting it it could go silver again

I'm pretty sure that the Silver Anniv Edition is the 1989 silver and black coupes and cabs.
It commemorates the 25th year (Silver) of the 911 (orig production year 1964).

Maybe there is a 25th year of Porsche cars in general that I don't know about.

Perhaps you could get a certificate of authenticity from Porsche?

I posted that so that you could see what the special editions came equipped with from the factory.


EDIT-Sorry about that. That video wasn't the one I saved. DOH!!

here's some more info- Check your option code plate. if yours is indeed a SA it will show option code M426. You'll need to cross reference your VIN against the factory records to know absolutely.

To start, does yours have the dash plaque? Does it it have the seats with the special fabric/piping?

its got the glue residue from were the plate would go i need 1 and were is the option plate

The option plate/decal is on the inner fender of the trunk.

I don't think you can just order up a dash plaque seeing as how these cars were special editions. (Anything is possible, of course.)

You may want to consider contacting former owners. Maybe one of them kept it.
