'86 930 hard starting
Hello! My totally stock 1986 930 has become very hard to start. It tries, and usually will start eventually, but it acts as though it is not getting enough fuel. It sputters a bit and then dies over and over again. Any thoughts out there?
Thanks, Dave |

it comes down to the same ol starting point for any CIS car: fuel pressures, fuel delivery, air leaks, cold start valve working. dont forget, you have 2 fuel pumps. oh, you sure there is gas in the tank?
good spark- plugs fouled, good dist cap.

Just had the same problem on my 930, 1986!!!!
The engine start get harder and harder. It got to the point that the car won't start if I don't press gas pedal all the way down. I ordered a new fuel accumulator from our host and that solved the problem.

See the "sticky" thread in the 930 forum addressing this exact problem. http://http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-930-turbo-super-charging-forum/547032-sticky-common-answers-why-my-car-doesnt-start.html
