Last Saturday was our last PCA Coffee Run before the winter. While we were on the road for about 5 hours, I never reach operating temperature. Before I put here in, I check the oil level (I've been leaking from a couple of house connections and the lower valve cover, so when I return from a ride I got oil splatter on the bumper and engine lid). Since it was not a temperature, it show a bit lower than the lowest mark at 850 RPM idling and a Druck of 1.
So to be on the safe side, I put a quart in. The next morning, I flash her up and the Druck is at 2.5 at idling. Never did that before. Is there a direct relation between the amount of oil in the tank and the Druck at idle? Yes I'm dropping the engine at the end of the month to fix all the leaks, full brake job, installed SSI's, M&K 2In/2Out and a multitude of other projects including "while you are in there" stuff. Replacing the oil Pressure sender is one of them. Thanks J.J.
