Can anyone help the new guy ID these seats?

I bought these Recaro (Well, labelled Recaro anyway...) from ebay and I think for the style they certainly fit my '76 911S.

Having searched quite a lot, I have yet to find another single photo or reference to them on the internet. They look site unique, with a novel tilting mechanism in which the sides and back move up, but the base of the seat remains fixed.

They have fishnet headrests, which I think Ill replace, and will probably retrim them too, so any suggestions of style and stick would be welcome....

Any help identifying their origins would be appreciated...

I have seen those seats referred to as "Recaro Rallye 3". I just checked by Google, they will show up if searched... but I don't know if that is their real model name.

Very cool seats! I'm also looking into getting period correct Recaros for my 88. Those look in great shape. Great buy!

They are. I fitted them last week, with a bit of foul language and at first they were a bit twisted and complained to the guy from ebay. He told me about the adjuster on the other side with an Allen key and now they are perfect.

I also fitted a quick release kit to the new Momo steering wheel and now pretty much everything with the arm - leg - height combination is good, except 5th gear... So a short-shift kit might be in order...

The leather is OK, but Ill still re-trim them anyway as I want it all to be perfect...

Do you know if I can get spare parts from there too? The adjustment wheels on both sides are broken and need replacing.

Thanks for the help everyone. As an aside, what would your opinions be to the re-trim style?

I was thinking of retrimming the seat and back in dark brown leather, or Alcantara, with more horizontal ribs to give it a more 70s feel.

Is that retro-modernising too far? Im inspired by Singer and Magnus Walker type mods, and am interested in the consensus on such matters.

One thing that will not change is the mint green colour - I love it...
