Changed the 2 switches, replaced the relay, and still nothing. Looking like it may be ignition switch or elsewhere.

When I pulled the fuel/oil gauge, noticed 2 wires unconnected. One is brown (ground), and the other red with black stripe. Nowhere to plug them on that gauge.

Any ideas?

. I saw those two wires in mine too. Pretty sure those are for a Cat unit on Japanese cars.. I didn’t trace them but it’s all I could find. 2 wires, separate plugs and correct colours..

Reviving an old thread. I have a new to me 87 911 coupe and my interior lights do not work in any position. I just tried changing out one of the bulbs and no help.

I do not have any annoying buzzing sound and my seatbelt light does not come up at start up. I still have the relay in the car, but I'm assuming it's gone bad. It does not appear that pelican or anyone else seems to have that part anymore. Anyone have a suggestion on where to source a solid replacement?

Amazing how with an almost 40 year old car thread that started ~14 years ago is still very relevant!
