Total seal piston rings for competition use only?
Are "Total Seal" style piston rings for race competition setups only?
I am into engine longevity for the rebuild of my 67 911S and was wondering if these style of rings would allow for a substantial increase in mileage between rebuilds vs. a standard gap ring set like "Deves". Do issues like internal case pressurization and subsequent oil frothing, come into play to make these rings undesirable for street use? |
