What size tires do you have on your 15x6 wheels?
I am currently running 205/55/15 on my 15x6 wheels, but I think they look too small for the car. Maybe I'll go up to 205/60/15? Or even buy some 16in wheels? This is on a 69.

I have 15x6 fuchs on my 70. I run 205/60/15 tires on them. That is the correct size. Your speedometer will be correct also.

+1 for 205/60/15. They look pretty good with the sidewall height and are about as wide as I'd go on a non-flared car.
I'm running original profile 185/70/15 DOT race tires on 7s at the moment. My opinion would be to avoid 16s if you can. They just don't look right on an early car like yours. Others may disagree though.

I've been looking on tire rack, but the reviews are extremely mixed. Some people say they absolutely love a certain tire, while others say it is the worst tire they have ever owned.
What tire brands/models would any of you suggest for 205/60-15?

It depends on what kind of driving you plan on doing of course. A stickier DOT type tyre is going to out perform a wider street tire by a big margin.
Also, the rolled inner lips definitely help, but the real problem with the wider tires is rubbing up on the upper fender wall under load. If you've got a nice stiff suspension you can avoid this, but a higher speed rub can quickly burn your paint on the outside. Running something like a wheel with a 7R offset can help get a wider tire under the rear of a narrow body. (But then you're talking about buying wheels). I had fairly hard 205 street tyres on 6" wheels and had no issues with grip on normal canyon carving "spirited" drives.

Hi, can't recommend a tire but a 205/60-15 tire should fit fine. Years ago they were fine for my 1973 but I have since moved to 16 inch wheels for street use.

Pirelli has just reintroduced the P6000, with a Porsche N2 homologation in 185/70, 195/65, and 215/60 sizes, which were original specs. Bought myself a set for my 7&8x15s. Can't wait to have them fitted.
