looks loke a big job. new wiring being the biggest headache in my opinion.

its better than a parts car. it should be rebuilt.

strip the engine, probably will be ok?

could get expensive - but for the right money........

Steve- I am wondering how bad the fire was... there are still plastic bits left that would (or should) have been melted if there was a really hot fire. Note the box for the air filter- I would want to do a compression test before paying 8gs. Car w/ 130k in good shape, & running would be worth 25ish, so if the damage is not too bad 8,000 might be a bargin.

The seller said the fire damage was not serious. Some electrical work along with replacing the rear deck. I'm thinking about purchasing it but, I don't know if I will be able to go see it.

The interior is supposed to be in good condition. So, even if the engine is in good condition, I would definitely remove it and go through a rebuild with it.

It sounds like you could spend endless thousands of dollars into this car to make it right....it's a big risk, especially if you cant see the car first hand.....and 8,000 bucks is no chump change either.
