Hello,
The people who built my '81 911SC Weber motor said that the best plugs they have found for these carburated engines are the NGK BP5EV (which is being superseded by the BP5EVX), which, strangly enough, are actually hi-po motorcycle plugs. I know alot of you guys like NGK, so what do you think about this? Thanks psears Last edited by psears; 01-19-2002 at 02:58 PM.. |

Yeah, the NGK BP6E S is what I have in there now as my "break-in plugs". They have seemed to work okay while my engine has been "breaking in". The shop guy says that they purposely use that plug during break-in because it is a little colder (or hotter-I can't remember which) than the normally recommended plug. But after break-in they like the "motorcycle" plug.
By the way, since you like the BP6E S, what do you gap it at? Thanks! psears |

I use BP6EY in the top and DP6EA-9 in the bottom. I wouldn't use Bosch's if they were free. I have MFI and am much happier with the NGK's.
