Break in transmission oil after rebuild?

Hi,
I tried searching info on transmission oil on the forum and I found a question regarding break in oil in a thread comparing Swepco to other brands. That question was not clearly answered.
I had my transmission rebuilt about a year ago and they put in some oil (not sure of the brand but it is not Swepco).
Should I replace the oil soon (I have done about 3000km since the rebuild) as the oil in it would be the "break in oil" or is there not even a such thing and a newly rebuilt transmission does not require an earlier oil change?
Thanks
David

Anything "new" will have some normal wear as the parts set and it's a good common practice to replace the "break in " oil with new oil.All the fine metal particles floating around in there will be eliminated as well.Make sure you get it good and hot before draining ...

What's the cost of new oil as compared to a gearbox rebuild !

Cheers !
Phil
