Question for 993 gurus

OK brain trust, here's the question: While we love this 993 cab we just bought, the seats have MUCH less front-to-back adjustment. With our 3.2's you can really stretch out your legs, but in the 993 it is much shorter as far as legroom. Is there any trick that I'm missing or a simple mod? Thanks in advance.

Probability is that the rear seats were moved forward in order to provide storage space for top stowage. Get seat rails from a coupe and solve your problem...

Unless you have use of/for those rear seats.

There are 2 sets of holes in the seat mounts, stock they are mounted in the forward set, remount them in the rear sethttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1288465229.jpg

was your 3.2 a coupe? If so thats why you had more leg room. Cabs and targas have more structural support in the front, thus taking away leg room.

Isn't the 993 passenger foot compartment also more shallow...ie some AC or other control module stuffed in the deep foot well or the sheet metal pushed back as well? My 3.2 seems to have way more space under the dash than my previous 993 cab.

Thanks Bill! I'll give that a try soon. There is WAY less legroom, in fact, my right knee is bumping into the shifter! I guess we were spoiled to the legroom in the 3.2's, in fact there was enough to me to fully extend my left leg to the dead pedal which made long trips very comfortable.

'88 Carrera coupe...

I measured 57" from the white dot on the upper left of the front dash center airflow, A/C, outlet, to the top back of both/either rear seat backside locked in the upright position.
