clock

OK, first of MANY stupid questions to come. I want to pull out my clock to try and get it going again, did a search and read etc. Looks do-able, pulled it out of the dash no problem. Disconnect black and brown like it says, but now I'm stuck. Blue/black striped wire into a red plastic connector in a metal housing on the back is holding it in place. How the heck do I get that one off? Can't pull it out, twist it off or anything. I'm sure it is something simple but thought I'd ask before doing something stupid.

Thanks
Brian

It's the light, just pull it (carefully).

Pry up between the 2 metal surfaces not between the plastic.

Yah, the bulb holder has to be tight to make the ground connection to the instrument and it can be really, really, tight if it has oxidized in there...
