Perfect vintage tint: llumar air 80

Wanting to tint to keep heat down, and preserve the interior, as well as protect my skin, I typically tint my windows. In ATL that's important. However, on a vintage 1987 car, it can look out of place or cheap.

There is a new tint by Llumar, Air 80 Blue, which is amazing. It has a minutely blue color to it, almost like OEM non-tinted Mercedes windows. To 99% of viewers it doesn't look tinted at all, yet on the inside, this nana-ceramic film cuts nearly 50% heat and 99.99% UV rays which protect your skin and your car's interior.

I just got mine done all around, including on the windshield, and it's incredible! I will clean it up and post pics tomorrow.

Have any of you seen or used this stuff yet?

I got installed back in April and it does indeed reduce a noticeable amount of heat energy. As well you would never know it was tinted from the way it looks. When you say it's blue, the colour is VERY subtle.

This comes under the heading of "stupid little objections"...

This is going to kill laser detection with the IR filtering. Addition of remote detectors front and rear will fix it.

This sounds like it would be great for houses in hot climates too.

No, the ceramic film is non-metallic, which is indeed one of the benefits. It does not interfere with ANY electronics: laser, radar, cellular, etc.

On a related note: laser detection is worthless- once it's detected it means you've been hit, so too late to slow down. Now, laser jammer/ blinder/ cloacking is awesome, and I use the Blinder Extreme for that, and it works extremely well...
