value of 2.7 motor ?????
 

i am considering swapping motors but first i need to know what i could possibly get for mine.
it's a 1976 2.7 with 7R case. runs strong. mileage unknown. cis has been completely gone over. no pulled studs. all upgrades done (tensioners, turbo valve covers, etc). leaks a couple drops here and there. puffs a little smoke after a week or more of not running.
but overall a smooth and strong runner.
any thoughts?

$2500-3000 if it has good leak down / compression and time certs and comes complete with CIS.

Agree with George. No pulled studs does not mean certs were installed and you didn't mention them in your list of upgrades--big difference in value, IMO. Unknown mileage, also a minus even if the compression/leak down numbers come as reasonable.
