Headlamp replacement
I'm looking for a little guidance in being able to replace the headlamps on a 1999 model 996. Any suggestions?

You need a little tool in the toolkit. Open the trunk, remove side carpeting and look at the side of the lamp. You should see headlight adjusting screws behind rubber flaps and beside those is where the tool inserts. Turn the tool to release the entire headlight. slide it out carefully as it runs on a plastic guide ramp. Carefull on reinsertion along the rails.
