Power window partial closing
 

Just bought a 2001 C4. Passenger window drops when door opens-normal. Close the door it drops anothe 2". Either raising or lowering from this point results in only 1-2" of movement with each press of the button, then it stops. Even had one time where it over ran at the top and the door did not close.

Saw there was instructions in the manual about raising window ONCE, then hit the front of the button once to set upper end point. Was able to do this but has not made a difference.

Anyone have an idea of what the heck is wrong. Manual shows that the end point could be an issue and reset as I did above, but that could not find any other potential problems. Thanks.

UPDATE
Disconnected the battery for a new one. Tested window and operated just as it should. a couple days has gone by and now when we open the door the window drops an inch (as it should) but would not go back up. Each opening of the door causes it to drop a couple inches again. Closing requires hitting the switch to get the glass to move up an inch at a time like it came down. Is there some relay or computer that is goofed up? how do I correct for good.
