pulling ims bearing
im in the processes of doing the ln ims retrofit on a 996 911. i have rad some people do this without locking the cams. my questions...
how muck effort should be used in turning the puller? where do you lock the cams? do you need to pull the valve covers? has anyone done this without locking anything? |

Follow the instructions from LN engineering or Jake Raby. They supply the replacement bearing. You need to lock it at TDC or you can jump the timing chains. The valve covers stay on but the tensioners need to be loosened or removed. LOCK AT TDC FIRST.
