Help me read my spark plugs

Hi All,
I'm trying to get my new motor set up and tuned. In short, it's a 2.7 with euro pistons and E-cams. Compression is 8.8:1. Please see the link in my signature for any other pertinent info. I'd like to see what the pros have to say about my plugs. FWIW, these do not reflect an immediate shutdown after a hard pull. I had to drive 500 yards from the highway to my garge. To my inexperienced eye, I have 1) too much timing, and 2) too hot a plug. The plugs have maybe one hour of total run time on the break-in. The plugs are Bosch "5"'s. Let me know what you think.... --Jaybird SmileWavy

Take a look at the NGK site for wisdom on reading plugs. It's pretty simple.

The don't look too bad, not enough time on the plugs to get a good picture. get a AFR meter for that fine tuning. Took me awhile but found out you have carbs (on page 8), now you really need a meter (a wide band recording one) that will really help choosing the correct jets. But, I think your close.
