I'm looking for an underbody sealant like the original PVC-undercoating.
I don't mean tectyl, dinitrol or the wax type stuff. I've read about glassohyd. Can somebody tell me what this is and where to get it (Europe)?. Thanks, Kees. ![]() |

here is the black version, and the required applicator gun. water based, goes on purple, dries black, great texture, tough as nails.

John, is this Wurth product similar to the stuff used for spray-in pickup bed liners? When I had my old Dodge pickup fixed up, I had the bed, the bumpers, and the roll bar all coated in this stuff. Several years later, it's still holding up great. I've often wondered if it would work as undercoating. Here's a pic of my old Tee-ruck...

it would probably work as a bed liner, but it lays a lot smoother, with a nice pebbly texture and doesn't go on as thick. i use it for inner fenders on all my cad/buick restorations. looks good in 911 engine compartments too. can be painted over, or left black.

Würth is good for this kinda thing, using compressed air to spray the thing on undercoating is too much trouble for me, so I use a brush to spread it on the places needed.
Take note that Würth also has products that won't get hard even when dry. Personally I like the stuff that gets "rock hard" as Walker said.

How about the black liner that goes on the interior? I don't think it is the same stuff for the exterior.
