There are many things to consider:
-Fuel: winterize with Stabil marine.
-Battery: remove or put a trickle charger on it.
-Oil: Change the oil before you put it to bed. It will get rid of water, acids, etc that can do damage. Some folks change it just before they tun it in the spring but I'd rather have clean oil in it all winter.
-Critters: they love to nest and chew. I use a multi-pronged attack with traps, glue boards, and poison (no pets to worry about).
-Consider doing large projects that require an engine drop like trans rebuild, fixing oil leaks, etc. This means more time on the road when spring finally shows up.
-Be prepared for withdrawal symptoms. Stay close to Pelican to keep your condition under control.

On a side note: I went to SUNYA and had friends from Syracuse and Buffalo (what a god-awfully cold place). Are you in Seneca Falls?

This is a serious issue. You may consider instead of storing your car for the winter, that you move your entire household to a climate that allows for year-round driving. It saves a lot of time prepping your car for storage.
