Question hood badge stuck

'81 911 SC euro, high miles, well used

My hood badge is loose. I can rotate it a little. I'd like to tighten it up, or replace it.

I can get a deep socket on the nuts, but the nuts seem to spin with their shafts. I can't tighten or loosen either nut. I even tried an impact wrench on them to see if that would spin them loose, but that didn't work.

An impact gun might be better, as it hits a lot harder, but that would take several reductions in drive size which I'd have to purchase.

Any other ideas as to how to get this off?

Pull on the badge while you loosen the nuts. As hard as possible, without damaging your hood and paint. Maybe lay some painters tape down and use a plastic scraper to gently pry up on the badge.
The pins are soft and the speednuts dig some pretty deep grooves sometimes.
