Breather cover

I have a 69' MFI which is converted to Webers.

The breather cover is mounted with (besides the breather hose) 2 temp. switches and an oil line...???

I expect this is something related to the previois MFI installation, since the breather cover on carb mounted cars only have the breather hose.

What is the sensors for?

Is it OK for me to simply exchange this cover for a "normal" cover from a T model?

Thanks

Here is a good quality 1969 wiring diagram for the 69 E & S.

Edit: in the 1970 MFI breather there is a single temperature switch. The non MFI breather has no switch/sensor (from reviewing parts PDF file). I have never seen two sensors (I have an 81CSC) but the electric diagram in the link shows two temperature switches very close together. #70 and 71 in the diagram.
