Roof racks
I have used a yakima to carry bicycles with rain gutter towers before. it worked fine for me. It actually looks pretty cool with the air valance. Check the for sale ads. I think there is a Yakima still for sale there.

I used to run a bike shop that sold Yakima racks. They are meant to hold 150lbs on each crossbar when properly mounted. Less on a short roof. The extra torque from the long overhang will probably damage your roof. Wind pressure will also come into play. Sounds risky.

This is what you need. Factory roof bars, made specially for the narrowing, sloping foor line. That and ties to the front and rear bumpers. The bars pop up from time to time in Germany (pff.de and elferteam.de).

Cantilevering an 18 foot long object on a 3' rack span is not good engineering. But, with the addition of front and rear support struts, I would do it.
