911 Turbo EFI Conversion - New Benchmark
Howdy Chaps,
911 Turbo’s admittedly get a bad rap for poor fuel mileage – in the 80’s I was glad to get 14mpg highway with a stock Euro CIS 3.3litre - but this changes all of that dramatically. How about 24mpg at 75mph on the interstate out of a motor docile as a 3.2litre Carrera that puts out 480rwhp and rev’s to 7,200rpm….and done with the stock intake manifold. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/l65bVoavwp8?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/l65bVoavwp8?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> |
Nice!
What EFI system did you use? Was it easy to tune? What turbo ? Is there any lag? You should post this is the turbo forum, I am sure they would be interested in more details |
